Homemade Ayurvedic Face Masks for Every Skin Type

  • Vata Mask (for dry skin): Mix 1 tbsp chickpea flour, a pinch of turmeric, and 1/4 cup of rose water or yogurt. This combo will moisturize and brighten your skin. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and follow up with a nourishing oil like sesame.
  • Pitta Mask (for oily skin): Aloe vera is your new BFF. Mix 1/4 cup aloe vera gel with a few drops of rose water for a cooling mask. Let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse off to keep your skin feeling fresh.
  • Kapha Mask (for oily, acne-prone skin): Use 1 tsp of honey and a pinch of turmeric. This simple mask will clear out stubborn breakouts. Apply for 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Tridoshaja Vikara Mask (for combination skin): With combination skin, balancing oily and dry areas is key. For oily zones (like the T-zone), use Multani Mitti with rose water to absorb excess oil. For drier areas, mix chickpea flour with yogurt to hydrate and soothe. Apply each mixture separately, leave for 10-15 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water.
